I'm a old soul trapped in the body of a confused 21-year-old. I am rather bitter about life. HOWEVER, most of my bitterness is taken out with a pen and paper (or Microsoft Word), or on myself. I have been battling epilepsy for five years now. People ask me to describe myself. Here is my description: I am an epileptic. I have complex partial epilepsy with and without secondary generalization that is medication resistant. I have many dreams. I dream of graduating from the University of Cincinnati and going on to graduate program in Maine. I want to work with non-profits like the Epilepsy Foundation, but I need to make some money to support my own health problems. I want to get my masters in Public Policy Administration with backgrounds in Public Health and Non-profits. It is good to dream? Until recently I thought th at I would not have a future, so now I am working very hard with medical professionals, although it can be very painful and difficult to continue to trust them, and I am hopeful that MY future as well as everyone else with epilepsy or knows/cares about someone with epilepsy will have a brighter future. I think with this new ability to dream about a HEALTHY, seizure-free future, and beginning to trust my doctors has also allowed me to even consider trusting a man. My "perfect match" would be someone very understanding and willing to learn about epilepsy. More than that he would want to learn about life. I guess the key thing is he has to be someone sort of tidy and likes doing dishes, AND he must be able to deal with someone who IS NOT very tidy and HATES dishes. Now, I'm not a complete slob, I keep the bathroom very clean. It's just dishes. My friends laugh at me, because I have dated older men. I think that is mainly, because people my age are so flabberghasted by my life, my seizures, that they do not know what to do or how to handle a seizure...or a life of seizures.

I've been quite busy with med school and my residency for the past several years to be in serious relationships. I'm looking for someone closer to my age (18-24) that will someday consider having at least two kids, and someone who does not intend to settle down with a diamond ring and a house for at least 5-8 years! This guy should have a steady job with many opportunities in store, or must be going to school to reach a career goal. This dream mate should have a great sense of style, and know when to wear sweats and when to wear Abercrombie & Fitch. He should have an awesome smile and should be confidant. Perhaps this sounds like a true DREAM guy but this is what I want, and I won't stop looking for him until he shows up.
